The charge for processing an entry is NZ$ 17.50 for exports and $27.50 for imports. These charges include all communication costs charged by the network appointed by New Zealand Customs.

If the declaration is incomplete, if it contains errors, if it is rejected by Customs/Quarantine or becomes the subject of a query or examination, then intervention by a Customs broker is required to obtain clearance and an additional charge of $27.50 per hour (minimum of $27.50) applies.

All charges are subject to GST and are payable on the 20th day of the month after the declaration is submitted. All duty and GST on imports is payable before clearance, unless otherwise agreed.
